EDUCATION OFFICER - NORTH WEST REGION |

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Education Officer - North West reporting to the Assistant Head of Workforce Development.
You will be responsible for ensuring effective delivery and co-ordination of the Teacher/Coach Education and Volunteer Support Programmes to meet the regional strategic requirements. The role will involve developing closer working partnerships with existing and potential customers through personal contact and support and creating and delivering tailored solutions. To enhance the current education programme so the highest standards can be achieved.
Previous strategic planning experience is essential to enable you to manage and co-ordinatre the delivery of the education programmes. You will be self-motivated as well as a team player. Excellent communication and presentation skills through various mediums and at all levels are essential. Experience of tutoring courses and holding an Assessor and Internal Verifier qualifications or equivalent would be advantageous.
Closing date:- 7th May 2008
Salary:- £25,075 to £27,465 (plus pension & company car)
Type of Contract: Full Time - all hours worked

BRITISH SWIMMING
JURY OF APPEAL FOR BRITISH SWIMMING EVENTS -ALL DISCIPLINES
Panel Members – Volunteer Posts
British Swimming is the National Governing Body for Swimming and its associated disciplines in Great Britain with its headquarters situated in the centre of Loughborough.
Nominations are invited for the volunteer post of Panel Member for the Jury of Appeal for British Swimming Events. We require panel members for all the disciplines:
Water Polo
Swimming
Synchronised Swimming
Open Water
Disability Swimming
Masters
Diving
The term of office is for a two year period from appointment, expected to be July 2008.
Those appointed to the panel will be required to demonstrate sound judgement and hold an official qualification in the applicable discipline or have proven knowledge and experience of the discipline. A thorough understanding of the technical rules of sport and in particular the inter relationship between the technical rules and disciplinary rules of British Swimming and FINA would be an advantage.
It should be noted that nominees must not have any foreseeable conflict of interest and may not participate in the organisation or running of the event in any capacity.
